Charlie Hebdo

On January 7th 2015 the magazine Charlie Hebdo was attacked my Muslim extremist resulting with 11 of the Charlie Hebdo editors killed and also a policeman when the gunman fled the building. The reason the Muslim extremist acted in this was the previous post by the magazine making fun of their prophet Muhammad which they took great offense to. They did this trying to put fear in the heart of the people and stop the offensive cartoons, their goal was not accomplished. 5 days after the attach Charlie Hebdo responded with a cartoon of Muhammad holding a sign that reads "Je suis charlie" which means, I am Charlie. They took a stand against terrorism and pretty much said we will not lay down and let you win we will fight for freedom. On a everyday magazine they will publish 60,000 and sell about 25,000 to 30,000, but of their most recent cartoon the one in response to that attack they published 3 million and sold out in one day. The way terrorism wins is by people being scared and quiting so if we take a global stand and fight against them they will lose

  1. The ratio of freedom fighters to terrorists is super high. People just need to take the action like you said. This is all super condensed, but I like it. It's basic, but others like Mr. Bicknell might appreciate deeper blogs, which you are capable of doing. Everyone can constantly push harder to become better.

  2. Good job getting it in on time. Historically the side that uses terrorist tactics is the side that is ideologically wrong. When slaveholders bombed newspapers who published anti-slave articles, in the end their belief system was proven wrong on the battlefield of the Civil War.
